Gilbert Seo is a quirky character in gaming history, best known as a glitchy, too-fast runner in the original Pokémon games that players talked about in whispers and on forums before the internet blew up. He’s part of that nostalgic lore where weird coding errors created legendary figures kids swore they encountered only if conditions were just right. Playing through those old cartridges, you’d half hope to spot him just so you could say you saw the phantom yourself.
